After yesterday’s news that Il Poggione 2010 Brunello has been ranked #4 of Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2015, we are still celebrating. This is a great honor and we are really happy for such a recognition.
Il Poggione has a long history in Montalcino and we are really glad to be the Ambassador of Brunello in this year’s top 100. This is a success for the whole Brunello di Montalcino appellation.
Here’s a picture of our proprietor Leopoldo Franceschi who has been celebrating by opening a bottle of Brunello 2010 with his family.
Of course such important recognition would not be possible without the hard work and effort of all of our colleagues in the vineyards, in the cellar and in the office.
